CCPlay(이하 「앱」)는 이용자의 개인정보를 중요하게 생각합니다. 본 방침은 앱이 어떤 정보를 수집·이용·보관하는지 설명합니다.

1. 수집하는 정보

2. 수집하지 않는 정보

• 앱은 Google 로그인·이름·이메일·전화번호를 요구하지 않습니다. 블로그 문의 폼에서 이름·이메일은 선택입니다.
• 브라우징 방문 기록·쿠키·자동완성 정보·웹사이트 저장 데이터·캐시는 이 기기의 앱 브라우저(WebView) 안에만 저장되고, 당사 서버로 보내지 않습니다. 「앱 종료 시 삭제」 설정이 기본으로 켜져 있으며, 켜져 있으면 앱 화면을 떠날 때마다(앱을 닫거나 다른 앱으로 갈 때) 캐시·방문 기록·자동완성·모든 쿠키·웹사이트 저장 데이터와 「최근 본 영상」·저장된 탭 목록을 지웁니다. 이 설정을 끄면 직접 지우기 전까지 기기에 남습니다. 쿠팡 배너 웹뷰의 쿠키도 같은 저장소에 들어가며 함께 지워집니다.
• 음성·영상 원본 파일을 당사 서버에 영구 저장하지 않습니다.
• 「자막 만들기」에서 고른 파일의 오디오와 만들어진 자막 글은 서버에 잠시만 보관한 뒤 지웁니다. 기간은 아래 2-2를 봐 주세요.

2-1. 실시간 자막(CC) 처리 — 클라우드 STT(Soniox)

• CC를 켜면 캡처된 오디오 스트림이 실시간 음성 인식·번역을 위해 Soniox(클라우드 STT)로 전송됩니다.
• 연결은 당사 서버가 발급한 임시 API 키로 이루어지며, 마스터 키는 앱에 포함되지 않습니다.
• CC 오디오는 앱에서 Soniox로 바로 전송되며, CCPlay 서버를 거치지 않습니다. 따라서 CCPlay 서버는 CC 오디오와 인식·번역 결과를 받지도 저장하지도 않습니다. 서버가 받는 것은 임시 키 발급과 이용 시간 계산에 필요한 익명 device_id·이용 시간뿐입니다.
• 임시 API 키는 발급 후 60초 안에 연결해야 쓸 수 있습니다. 인식·번역 결과는 화면에 자막으로 표시됩니다.
• 베타 「본 자막 기록」을 켜면, 확정된 자막 글과 앱 안에서 연 페이지 주소가 이 기기에만 최대 7일 저장됩니다. 음성 파일은 저장하지 않습니다. 이 기록은 서버로 올리지 않습니다.
• 앱 브라우저에서 영상을 재생한 페이지는 「최근 본 영상」으로 페이지 제목·주소·대표 이미지가 이 기기에만 최근 20개까지 저장됩니다. 이 기록은 서버로 올리지 않으며, 「기록 지우기」나 브라우저 방문 기록 삭제 때 함께 지워집니다.
• 이용 시간·구독·이용권 잔여는 권한 API(Google Cloud)에 집계될 수 있습니다.

2-2. 파일 자막(「자막 만들기」) 처리 — Soniox·Google Gemini

• 「자막 만들기」에서 파일을 고르면, 앱이 기기에서 그 파일의 오디오만 뽑아 당사 Google Cloud Storage 비공개 저장소(서울 리전)에 직접 올립니다. 영상 화면과 파일 이름은 올리지 않습니다. 음성 인식·번역을 위해 Soniox(클라우드 STT)가 이 오디오를 받아 처리합니다.
• 작업이 끝나면(완료·실패·취소) 저장소의 오디오를 바로 삭제하고, Soniox에도 그 작업(인식 결과 포함)의 삭제를 바로 요청합니다. 이때 지우지 못한 것과 작업이 시작되지 않은 업로드(7시간이 지난 것)는 6시간마다 자동으로 도는 정리 작업이 지웁니다. 저장소는 올라간 지 1일이 지난 파일을 자동으로 삭제합니다.
• 만들어진 자막 글(번역 포함)은 앱이 저장하기 전에 꺼져도 같은 기기가 다시 받을 수 있도록 서버에 3시간 보관합니다. 다른 기기는 받을 수 없습니다. 3시간이 지나면 더는 받을 수 없고, 6시간마다 자동으로 도는 정리 작업 때 서버에서 삭제됩니다.
• 「다른 언어로 자막 만들기」를 쓰면, 이미 만든 자막 글(오디오 아님)을 번역하려고 Google Gemini API로 보냅니다. 번역된 자막 글도 위와 같이 3시간 보관한 뒤 삭제됩니다.
• 자막 파일은 이 기기의 앱 저장 공간과 「다운로드/CCPlay」 폴더에 저장됩니다. 앱을 지운 뒤에도 되살릴 수 있도록, 같은 폴더에 복원용 파일(원문·번역 자막 글)도 둡니다. 이 파일들은 직접 지울 수 있으며, 「다운로드/CCPlay」 폴더의 파일은 앱을 지워도 남습니다. 「이전 자막 불러오기」를 쓰면 사용자가 고른 그 폴더 안의 자막·복원용 파일만 읽고, 서버로 다시 보내지 않습니다.
• 하루 이용 한도·시간 차감·오류 확인을 위해 작업 기록(익명 device_id, 언어, 오디오 길이, 차감한 시간, 작업 상태·시각)을 서버에 남깁니다. 이 기록의 device_id는 90일 뒤 익명화되고, 기록은 1년 뒤 삭제됩니다. 이 처리도 6시간마다 자동으로 도는 정리 작업이 합니다.

2-3. 푸시 알림 (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

• 앱을 실행하면 Google Firebase Cloud Messaging(FCM)이 이 기기에 푸시 토큰을 발급하고, 앱은 그 토큰을 익명 device_id와 함께 당사 서버에 보냅니다. 서버는 기기당 토큰 1개만 저장하고, 토큰이 바뀌면 새 토큰으로 바꿉니다.
• 이 토큰은 앱 문의에 답변이 달렸을 때 알림을 보내는 데 씁니다. 공지·업데이트 알림은 앱이 구독한 FCM 주제(전체, 앱 언어, 앱 버전)로 보내며, 이 구독 정보는 당사 서버가 아니라 FCM이 관리합니다.
• 알림을 보낼 때와 6시간마다 도는 점검에서 FCM이 더 이상 쓸 수 없다고 알려 준 토큰은 서버에서 지웁니다. 아직 쓸 수 있는 토큰은 기간만으로 지우지 않으며, 데이터 삭제 요청 때 삭제합니다.
• 알림은 Android 설정에서 끌 수 있습니다. 「자막 만들기」 완료 알림은 서버 푸시가 아니라 앱이 기기에서 띄웁니다.

2-4. 온보딩 진행 기록·설치 유입 정보

• 처음 열기, 권한 허용, 첫 자막처럼 온보딩이 어디까지 갔는지 단계 이름과 앱 버전, 언어·단계 번호 같은 짧은 값을 서버에 보냅니다.
• Play 설치 출처(install referrer)에서 받은 utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, 광고 클릭 ID(gclid) 값, 설치 출처 원문(최대 1,024자)을 서버 데이터베이스에 저장합니다. 광고 클릭·설치 시작 시각과 앱 언어 설정도 함께 저장할 수 있습니다. 광고 클릭 ID와 설치 출처 원문은 서버 로그에는 남기지 않습니다.
• 기기 식별은 device_id 해시의 앞 16자만 씁니다. 이름, 이메일, 전화번호, 광고 ID는 보내지 않습니다. 같은 기기의 같은 단계는 한 번만 저장합니다.
• 유럽경제지역(EEA)·영국·스위스에 있는 기기와 국가를 알 수 없는 기기에서는 온보딩 진행 기록과 설치 출처 정보를 보내지 않습니다. 국가는 통신망 국가 → SIM 국가 → 기기 지역 설정 순서로 기기 안에서 판단하며(시간대가 유럽이면 유럽으로 봄), 서버는 이 지역 국가 값이 붙은 기록은 버립니다. 국가 값을 보내지 않는 예전 버전 앱의 기록은 국가 없이 저장합니다. 국가 값은 이 판단에만 쓰고 이 기록에 저장하지 않습니다.
• 이 기록은 온보딩 어느 단계에서 그만두는지 보고, 광고로 설치·구매가 얼마나 이어졌는지 확인하는 데만 씁니다. 90일이 지나면 삭제하고, 데이터 삭제 요청 때도 그 기기 기록을 지웁니다.

2-5. 익명 이용 통계

• 실시간 자막(CC)이나 「자막 만들기」 한 번이 끝날 때, 앱은 아래 값만 담은 요청 1건을 당사 서버에 보냅니다: 기능 이름, 사용 시간 구간(1분 미만·1~5분·5~15분·15~60분·60분 이상), 언어 쌍(예: 일본어→한국어), 끝난 화면, 앱 버전, 국가(두 글자 코드).
• device_id·광고 ID·이름·이메일 같은 식별자와 시각은 보내지 않으며, 기기에 따로 횟수를 쌓지도 않습니다.
• 활성 기기 집계는 위 ‘기기 식별 정보’ 항목을 참고하세요.
• 서버는 요청 하나하나를 저장하지 않고, 날짜(서버 기준)·국가·앱 버전·항목별 합계 숫자만 남깁니다. 합계가 5 미만인 칸은 운영자 보고서에서도 숨깁니다.
• 유럽경제지역(EEA)·영국·스위스에 있는 기기와 국가를 알 수 없는 기기에서는 보내지 않으며, 서버도 이 지역에서 온 요청은 버립니다.
• 이 통계는 어떤 기능이 얼마나 쓰이는지 보고 앱을 고치는 데만 씁니다.

2-6. 구매 기록(주문·결제 정보)

• Plus 구독이나 CC 이용권이 서버에 처음 적용될 때, Google Play 검증 결과로 받은 주문 번호, 결제 금액과 통화, Play 국가·지역 코드, 상품 ID를 구매 토큰과 함께 저장합니다. 같은 구매는 한 번만 기록합니다.
• 이때 그 기기의 설치 유입 요약(광고 유입인지 여부, utm_source·utm_medium, 광고 클릭 ID가 있었는지 여부)도 함께 저장합니다.
• 이 정보는 결제 확인과 광고 효과·매출 분석에만 씁니다. 카드 번호 같은 결제 수단 정보는 Google Play가 처리하며 당사 서버에는 저장하지 않습니다. 이 정보를 판매하지 않습니다.
• 서비스 이용 기간 동안 보관하며, 데이터 삭제 요청 때 그 기기와 연결된 구매 기록도 삭제합니다.

3. 정보의 보관 및 전송

• 이용 권한·사용량·구독 상태는 Google Cloud Run 서버(아시아 리전)에 저장될 수 있습니다.
• 푸시 토큰과 「자막 만들기」 작업 기록·자막 글은 같은 서버의 데이터베이스(Google Cloud SQL, 서울 리전)에 저장됩니다.
• 설치 유입 정보(2-4)와 구매 기록(2-6)도 같은 데이터베이스(Google Cloud SQL, 서울 리전)에 저장됩니다.
• 「자막 만들기」 오디오는 작업 동안 Google Cloud Storage(서울 리전, 비공개)에 임시로 보관됩니다.
• 전송 구간은 HTTPS/WSS로 암호화됩니다.
• 서버 데이터는 이용 권한 관리 목적에 필요한 최소한만 보관합니다.

4. 처리 위탁

CCPlay는 서비스 제공을 위해 아래 업체에 처리를 맡깁니다. 이 업체들은 CCPlay를 위해 맡긴 일만 처리합니다.

• Soniox(음성 인식·번역): CC 사용 시 오디오 스트림, 「자막 만들기」 사용 시 고른 파일의 오디오. 「자막 만들기」 작업이 끝나면 Soniox에 그 작업(인식 결과 포함)의 삭제를 바로 요청합니다.

4-1. 그 밖의 외부 서비스

• Google Play: 앱 배포·구독·이용권 결제·무결성 검증
• Google Cloud: 이용 권한 API 호스팅, 「자막 만들기」 오디오 임시 보관(Cloud Storage, 서울 리전)
• Google Gemini API: 「다른 언어로 자막 만들기」 사용 시 자막 글 번역
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging(FCM): 푸시 알림 전송(푸시 토큰 처리)
• Sentry: 크래시·ANR 등 앱 오류 진단(해외 서버로 진단 정보가 전송될 수 있음)
• Google AdMob: 무료 사용자에게 보상형 광고·배너 표시(Plus는 요청하지 않음). AdMob 미디에이션을 통해 Meta Audience Network 광고가 같은 자리에 나갈 수 있음
• 쿠팡: 통신망 국가가 한국인 기기(통신망 국가가 비어 있으면 SIM 국가가 한국인 기기)의 홈과 무료 시간 받기 화면에 쿠팡 파트너스 상품 배너를 표시할 수 있음(Plus는 요청하지 않음). 배너는 앱 안 웹뷰가 쿠팡 스크립트를 불러옵니다. 광고 ID를 쿠팡에 넘기지 않습니다. 그 웹뷰는 브라우저의 서드파티 쿠키 설정과 상관없이 쿠팡 쿠키를 받을 수 있습니다. 배너를 눌러도 자막 이용 시간은 주지 않습니다
• Notion: 앱·블로그 문의 내용을 기록·처리하고, 앱 문의 답변 작성에 사용(이용자가 문의를 보낸 경우에 한함). 앱 문의의 원본·답변 SSOT는 CCPlay 서버(Postgres)

위 서비스는 각 사업자의 정책에 따릅니다. CCPlay는 이용자 개인을 식별하는 정보를 제3자에게 판매하지 않습니다.

4-2. Google Analytics for Firebase

광고 성과와 매출을 측정하기 위해 Google LLC가 제공하는 Google Analytics for Firebase를 사용합니다.

• 수집 항목: 앱 인스턴스 ID, 광고 ID(이용자가 허용한 경우), 앱 이용 이벤트(최초 실행, 세션, 화면 이용 등 자동 수집 이벤트), 구매 이벤트(상품 ID, 금액, 통화 — Google Play 결제 시 SDK가 자동 수집), 기기 정보(모델, OS 버전, 언어), 대략적인 위치(IP로 추정한 국가·도시 수준이며, IP 주소 자체는 저장하지 않음)
• 이용 목적: 광고 캠페인 성과 측정, 광고별 매출 귀속, 앱 이용 통계
• 국외 이전: 앱을 사용하는 동안 네트워크를 통해 Google LLC(미국) 서버로 전송되어 보관됩니다. 보관 기간은 Google Analytics 데이터 보존 설정(최대 14개월)을 따릅니다.
• 유럽경제지역(EEA)·영국·스위스에서는 수집하지 않습니다. 기기의 국가를 확인할 수 없는 경우에도 수집하지 않습니다.
• 거부 방법: 기기 설정에서 광고 ID를 재설정하거나 삭제(광고 개인 최적화 해제)할 수 있고, 앱의 문의 메뉴로 요청할 수도 있습니다.

5. 이용자의 권리

• 앱 삭제 시 기기에 저장된 설정·즐겨찾기는 함께 삭제됩니다.
• 서버에 저장된 이용 정보 삭제 요청: 아래 데이터 삭제 요청 또는 mimi910919@gmail.com
• Plus 구독 해지·환불은 Google Play 정책 및 Play 스토어 구독 관리에서 처리합니다.

이용자는 아래 절차로 서버에 저장된 데이터 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다.

1. 이메일 보내기: mimi910919@gmail.com 으로 제목 「CCPlay 데이터 삭제 요청」을 적어 보냅니다.
2. 확인: 개발자가 요청 사실을 확인합니다. (필요 시 앱 패키지명 com.ccplay.app 및 요청 일시를 함께 적어 주세요.)
3. 삭제 처리: 확인 후 30일 이내 서버에서 해당 기기의 이용 권한·사용량·구독 연동 정보를 삭제합니다.
4. 완료 안내: 처리가 끝나면 이메일로 회신합니다.

삭제되는 데이터 (서버)

• 익명 device_id(기기 식별 해시)
• CC 사용 시간(일·월)·이용권·구독 잔여
• Plus 구독 상태·구매 토큰 연동 정보
• 블로그 문의에서 제출한 이름·이메일·내용(해당 기록이 있는 경우)
• 앱 문의함 메시지·운영자 답변·관련 진단 요약(해당 device_id 기록이 있는 경우)
• 푸시 알림 토큰
• 「자막 만들기」 작업 기록, 아직 남아 있는 자막 글, 진행 중인 작업의 오디오
• 온보딩 진행 기록, 설치 유입 정보(utm 값·광고 클릭 ID·설치 출처 원문)
• 구독·이용권 구매 기록(주문 번호·결제 금액·통화·국가·지역·설치 유입 요약)

삭제되지 않거나 서버에 없는 데이터

• 익명 이용 통계(2-5): 식별자 없이 합계 숫자로만 저장되어 특정 기기의 기록을 찾아 지울 수 없습니다.
• 음성·영상·자막 원문(기본): 서버에 영구 저장하지 않으므로 삭제 대상이 아닙니다. CC 오디오와 인식 결과는 CCPlay 서버를 거치지 않고 Soniox로 바로 가므로 당사 서버에는 없습니다. 「자막 만들기」의 오디오와 자막 글은 2-2에 적은 대로 자동 삭제됩니다.
• 이름·이메일·전화번호: 앱은 수집하지 않습니다. 블로그 문의에서 제출한 이름·이메일은 삭제 요청 시 문의 기록과 함께 삭제합니다.
• 기기 내 설정·즐겨찾기: 앱 삭제(제거) 시 기기에서 삭제됩니다. 별도 서버 보관 없음.
• Google Play 결제·구독 기록: Google이 보관합니다. 해지·환불은 Play 스토어 구독 관리에서 처리합니다.
• Sentry 크래시 진단 기록: 보관 기간은 Sentry 정책에 따릅니다. 삭제 요청 시 가능 범위에서 협조합니다.
• 법령상 보관이 필요한 경우: 관련 법령에 따라 최소한만 별도 보관할 수 있습니다.

보관 기간 (삭제 요청 전)

서버 데이터는 이용 권한·주간 한도·구독 확인 목적으로 서비스 이용 기간 동안 보관됩니다. 다만 「자막 만들기」 오디오·자막 글·작업 기록은 2-2에 적은 기간에 따라 자동으로 삭제되거나 익명화됩니다. 삭제 요청이 접수되면 위 절차에 따라 삭제하며, 삭제 후에는 복구하지 않습니다.

6. 아동

앱은 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 해당 연령의 개인정보를 고의로 수집하지 않습니다.

7. 방침 변경

법령·서비스 변경 시 본 페이지를 갱신합니다. 중요한 변경은 앱 또는 스토어를 통해 안내할 수 있습니다.

CCPlay (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App collects, uses, and stores.

1. Information we collect

2. Information we do not collect

• The App does not require Google sign-in, name, email, or phone number. Name and email on the blog contact form are optional.
• Browsing history, cookies, autofill data, website storage, and cache are stored only in the app’s browser (WebView) on this device and are not sent to our servers. The “Clear on exit” setting is on by default; while it is on, every time you leave the app screen (closing the app or switching to another app) the app deletes the cache, browsing history, autofill data, all cookies, website storage, “Recently watched”, and the saved tab list. If you turn it off, this data stays on the device until you delete it. Cookies from the Coupang banner WebView use the same store and are deleted with them.
• We do not permanently store raw audio or video files on CCPlay servers.
• The audio of a file you pick in “Make subtitles” and the subtitle text made from it are kept on our servers only briefly and then deleted. See 2-2 below for how long.

2-1. Live captions (CC) — cloud STT (Soniox)

• When CC is on, the captured audio stream is sent to Soniox for real-time speech recognition and translation.
• The connection uses a temporary API key issued by our server; the master key is not embedded in the app.
• CC audio goes from the app directly to Soniox and does not pass through CCPlay servers. CCPlay servers therefore neither receive nor store CC audio or its recognition/translation results. Our server only receives the anonymous device_id and usage time needed to issue the temporary key and count usage.
• The temporary API key must be used to connect within 60 seconds of issue. Recognition/translation results are shown as captions.
• If the beta “Save captions” option is on, finished caption text and the in-app page address stay on this device only for up to 7 days. No audio file is saved. This history is not uploaded to our servers.
• Pages where you played a video in the in-app browser are kept as “Recently watched” (page title, address, and preview image) on this device only, up to the latest 20. This history is not uploaded to our servers and is deleted with “Clear” or when you clear browsing data.
• Usage time, subscription, and pass balances may be aggregated by our entitlement API (Google Cloud).

2-2. File subtitles (“Make subtitles”) — Soniox and Google Gemini

• When you pick a file in “Make subtitles”, the app extracts only the audio on your device and uploads it directly to our private Google Cloud Storage bucket (Seoul region). The video picture and the file name are not uploaded. Soniox (cloud STT) receives this audio for speech recognition and translation.
• When the job ends (completed, failed, or cancelled), the audio is deleted from storage right away, and we immediately ask Soniox to delete that job (including its recognition result). Anything that could not be deleted then, and uploads for which no job was started (after 7 hours), are deleted by a cleanup job that runs automatically every 6 hours. The storage bucket also automatically deletes files 1 day after upload.
• The resulting subtitle text (including any translation) is kept on our server for 3 hours so the same device can fetch it again if the app closes before saving it. Other devices cannot fetch it. After 3 hours it can no longer be fetched, and it is deleted from the server by the cleanup job that runs automatically every 6 hours.
• If you use “Make subtitles in another language”, the existing subtitle text (not audio) is sent to the Google Gemini API for translation. The translated text is also kept for 3 hours and then deleted, as above.
• Subtitle files are saved on this device, in app storage and in the “Download/CCPlay” folder. A recovery file (original and translated subtitle text) is also kept in that folder so subtitles can be restored after reinstall. You can delete these files yourself; files in the “Download/CCPlay” folder remain after you uninstall the app. “Restore past subtitles” only reads subtitle and recovery files in the folder you choose, and does not upload them again.
• For the daily limit, time charging, and error checks, the server keeps a job record (anonymous device_id, languages, audio length, time charged, job status and timestamps). The device_id in these records is anonymized after 90 days, and the records are deleted after 1 year. This is also done by the cleanup job that runs automatically every 6 hours.

2-3. Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

• When you open the app, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) issues a push token to this device, and the app sends that token to our server with the anonymous device_id. The server keeps only one token per device and replaces it when the token changes.
• We use this token to notify you when an in-app inquiry gets a reply. Announcement and update notifications are sent to FCM topics the app subscribes to (all users, app language, app version); those subscriptions are managed by FCM, not stored on our server.
• When FCM reports that a token can no longer be used, while sending a notification or during the check that runs every 6 hours, we delete it from our server. A token that still works is not deleted just because time has passed. It is deleted when you make a data deletion request.
• You can turn notifications off in Android settings. The “Make subtitles” completion notification is shown by the app on your device, not sent as a server push.

2-4. Onboarding progress and install attribution

• The app sends step names such as first open, permission granted, and first subtitle, plus the app version and short values like a language code or step number.
• From the Play install referrer we store utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, the ad click ID (gclid) value, and the raw install referrer text (up to 1,024 characters) in our server database. We may also store the ad click and install start times and the app language setting. The ad click ID and raw referrer text are not written to server logs.
• The device identifier is only the first 16 characters of the device_id hash. No name, email, phone number, or advertising ID is sent. Each step is stored once per device.
• Onboarding progress and install-source data are not sent from devices in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or from devices whose country cannot be determined. The country is decided on the device in this order: mobile-network country → SIM country → device region setting (a European time zone counts as Europe). Our server discards records that carry one of these countries. Records from older app versions that send no country are stored without a country. The country value is used only for this check and is not stored with these records.
• We use this only to see where people leave onboarding and to measure how ads lead to installs and purchases. Records are deleted after 90 days, and also when you make a data deletion request.

2-5. Anonymous usage statistics

• When a live caption (CC) session or a “Make subtitles” job ends, the app sends one request to our server containing only: feature name, session length range (under 1 min, 1–5 min, 5–15 min, 15–60 min, 60 min or more), language pair (e.g. Japanese→Korean), the screen it ended on, app version, and country (two-letter code).
• No identifiers (no device_id, advertising ID, name, or email) and no timestamps are sent, and the app keeps no separate counters on the device.
• For active-device counting, see the Device identifier item above.
• The server does not store individual requests. It keeps only aggregate counts per date (server time), country, app version, and item. Cells with a count under 5 are hidden even in our internal reports.
• These statistics are not collected from devices in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or from devices whose country cannot be determined, and our server discards requests from those countries.
• We use these statistics only to understand which features are used and to improve the app.

2-6. Purchase records (order and payment details)

• When a Plus subscription or CC pass is first applied on our server, we store the order ID, amount paid and currency, Play country/region code, and product ID returned by Google Play verification, together with the purchase token. Each purchase is recorded once.
• We also store a snapshot of that device’s install attribution at that time (whether it came from an ad, utm_source and utm_medium, and whether an ad click ID was present).
• We use this only to confirm payments and to analyze ad effectiveness and revenue. Payment card details are handled by Google Play and are not stored on our servers. We do not sell this data.
• We keep it while you use the service, and when you make a data deletion request we also delete the purchase records linked to that device.

3. Storage and transmission

• Entitlement, usage, and subscription data may be stored on Google Cloud Run (Asia region).
• Push tokens and “Make subtitles” job records and subtitle text are stored in the same server’s database (Google Cloud SQL, Seoul region).
• Install attribution (2-4) and purchase records (2-6) are stored in the same database (Google Cloud SQL, Seoul region).
• “Make subtitles” audio is held temporarily in Google Cloud Storage (Seoul region, private) while the job runs.
• Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/WSS.
• Server data is kept only to the minimum needed for entitlement management.

4. Service providers (processing on our behalf)

CCPlay uses the following provider to process data on its behalf to deliver the service. The provider processes the data only for that purpose.

• Soniox (speech recognition and translation): the audio stream while CC is on; the audio of the file you pick in “Make subtitles”. When a “Make subtitles” job ends, we immediately ask Soniox to delete that job (including its recognition result).

4-1. Other third-party services

• Google Play: distribution, subscriptions, time passes, integrity checks
• Google Cloud: entitlement API hosting; temporary storage of “Make subtitles” audio (Cloud Storage, Seoul region)
• Google Gemini API: translating subtitle text when you use “Make subtitles in another language”
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): delivering push notifications (processes the push token)
• Sentry: crash/ANR diagnostics (diagnostic data may be processed on servers outside your country)
• Google AdMob: rewarded ads and banners for free users (not requested while Plus is active). Via AdMob Mediation, Meta Audience Network creatives may fill the same slots
• Coupang: when the device’s mobile-network country is Korea, or the SIM country is Korea if the network country is empty, the home screen and the free-time sheet may show a Coupang Partners product banner (not requested while Plus is active). An in-app WebView loads Coupang’s script. The app does not send the advertising ID to Coupang. That WebView may accept Coupang cookies even if the browser blocks third-party cookies. Tapping the banner does not add caption time
• Notion: storing and handling in-app and blog inquiries and drafting in-app replies (only if you submit). Postgres on CCPlay servers is the source of truth for in-app inquiry threads

These services are governed by their respective policies. CCPlay does not sell personally identifiable information to third parties.

4-2. Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC, to measure advertising performance and revenue.

• Data: app instance ID, advertising ID (where permitted), app usage events (first open, sessions, engagement, collected automatically), purchase events (product ID, price, currency — collected automatically by the SDK for Google Play purchases), device info (model, OS version, language), approximate location (country/city derived from IP; the IP address itself is not stored)
• Purpose: measuring ad campaign performance, attributing revenue to ads, app usage statistics
• International transfer: data is sent over the network to, and stored on, servers of Google LLC (United States) while you use the app. Retention follows our Google Analytics data-retention setting (up to 14 months).
• Not collected in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, nor when the device country cannot be determined.
• Opt-out: reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings, or contact us via the in-app inquiry menu.

5. Your rights

• Uninstalling the App removes on-device settings and favorites.

• Plus cancellation and refunds are handled via Google Play and Play Store subscription settings.

You may request deletion of data stored on our servers as follows.

1. Send an email to mimi910919@gmail.com with the subject line “CCPlay Data Deletion Request”.
2. Verification: We confirm the request. (Please include package name com.ccplay.app and the date of your request if possible.)
3. Deletion: Within 30 days of confirmation, we delete that device’s entitlement, usage, and subscription linkage data from our servers.
4. Confirmation: We reply by email when processing is complete.

Data deleted (server)

• Anonymous device_id (device identifier hash)
• CC usage duration (daily/monthly); pass and subscription remaining time
• Plus subscription status and purchase-token linkage
• Name, email, and message submitted via the blog contact form, if any
• In-app inquiry messages, operator replies, and related diagnostics summaries for that device_id, if any
• Push notification token
• “Make subtitles” job records, any subtitle text still kept, and the audio of a job still in progress
• Onboarding progress records and install attribution (utm values, ad click ID, raw referrer text)

Data not deleted or not stored on our servers

• Anonymous usage statistics (2-5): stored only as aggregate counts without identifiers, so no record can be linked to or deleted for a specific device.
• Raw audio, video, or subtitle text (default): not permanently stored on our servers. CC audio and recognition results go directly to Soniox without passing through CCPlay servers, so they are not on our servers. “Make subtitles” audio and subtitle text are deleted automatically as described in 2-2.
• Name, email, phone number: not collected by the App. Name and email submitted on the blog contact form are deleted with that inquiry if you request deletion.
• On-device settings and favorites: removed when you uninstall the App; not stored on our servers.
• Google Play billing and subscription records: retained by Google; manage cancellation in Play Store.
• Sentry crash diagnostics: retention follows Sentry’s policies; we will cooperate with deletion requests where feasible.
• Legal retention: we may retain the minimum required by applicable law.

Retention period (before a deletion request)

Server data is kept while you use the service for entitlement, weekly limits, and subscription verification. However, “Make subtitles” audio, subtitle text, and job records are deleted or anonymized automatically on the schedule in 2-2. After a verified deletion request, data is deleted as above and is not restored.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

7. Changes

We may update this page when laws or the service change. Material changes may be communicated via the App or store listing.
